BERREA EN LA SIERRA DE ALBARRACÍN
¿Has escuchado alguna vez la «berrea»?. Seguramente es uno de los sonidos más fascinantes de nuestros bosques.
Después del largo verano, cuando las temperaturas comienzan a bajar, las tardes se acortan y comienzan las primeras lluvias de septiembre, los ciervos de la Sierra de Albarracín entran en su celo, también conocido como «berrea», por los sonidos guturales que emiten los machos para atraer a las hembras a su territorio. Durante mas de un mes, los machos incansables, sin apenas comer, berrean durante toda la noche y a primeras horas del día.

La actividad que os proponemos consiste en realizar un acercamiento a zonas donde se localizan grupos de ciervos en celo. Las mejores horas para observar y escuchar a los ciervos es al amanecer y al atardecer.
Salimos en grupos pequeños (no más de 12 personas), realizando un pequeño sendero, donde podremos observar señales y marcas de los animales que habitan los bosques de la Sierra de Albarracín, mientras empezamos a escuchar los sonidos de los machos.
Al final de nuestra ruta llegamos a una zona con buena visibilidad donde colocamos los catalejos y con los prismáticos nos dedicamos a observar los grupos de ciervos que entre los colores del otoño se mueven por las laderas, bosquetes y prados.

– Guías titulados
– Seguros
– Material didáctico
Material necesario:
- Ropa cómoda y abrigada para el anochecer
- Calzado adecuado para el sendero
- Prismáticos si se dispone de ellos
- Merienda o similar para después del sendero y mientras observamos la berrea
